The joy of service

Recently a new client got in touch. We've known each other awhile but not been in touch of recent times.

His father had recently passed away. He and his brother were Executors. They needed a grant of Probate to recover some funds from the CBA.

He and his brother had considered:

A. Doing the work themselves (both busy professionals)

B. Retaining the Public Trustee

C. Calling me

So he got in touch.

I gave him an outline of how I work and confirmed my fixed fee.

It was about the same as the Public Trustee so we were retained on 6 October.

  • He has dealt with me directly.

  • We identified an issue which we were able to address without additional cost to the estate.

  • I have today secured their grant of Probate in four (4) weeks and it has been a stress free journey for them.

Had they elected to go with the Public Trustee, given their usual turn around on Probate matters, I would anticipate they would not have secured their grant of Probate until late first quarter 2023 if not later.

I will also provide a complimentary estate plan review for the two executors and their partners.

It get's better .... last week simply by asking a question about a family need, I was able to provide a personal referral to help with that part of their world.
